The 2022 G League MVP has officially inked a one-year deal with the Orlando Magic.

The Orlando Magic and 2022 NBA G League MVP Trevlyn Quinn have reportedly agreed to a one-year contract for the 2023-24 season. It's unclear what Quinn's role will be, but he's shown signs of potential before. Perhaps he can earn a spot on Orlando's roster this season.

Quinn, 26, has played in a total of 17 NBA games. He made his debut in 2021-22, contributing an average of 4.3 points per game in an average of 7.4 minutes of playing time. That figure came in a total of 10 games. Quinn then joined the Indiana Pacers for the 2022-23 season and ended up contributing 3.0 points and 10.0 minutes per game in seven games played.

If the Magic give him a chance, he's still only 26 years old and could potentially find his footing in the NBA. 17 games isn't the best sample size.

However, he excelled this past G League season. He averaged 22.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game, according to the NBA G League website.

The Magic are in the process of putting together a competitive roster. Drafting Paul Bankro in the 2022 NBA Draft builds them a future star. Bankro had a great rookie season and Orlando fans are now excited for the future.

The roster still has some issues that need to be addressed. The Magic may be a couple years away from truly competing. But a depth replacement like Quinn will only help the Magic's roster in the end. It will be interesting to see if Orlando gives him a chance to showcase his skills.
